Epson SX405 Ink

The Epson Stylus SX405 offers printing, scanning and copying in one compact, space saving product that won’t clutter your desk. It is also good value for money with a price tag under a £100 from competitive retailers. However printer manufactures have been known to offer printers at a greatly reduced price just so they can sell you ridiculously expensive replacement ink cartridges. The is not the case of the Stylus SX405, the printer ink cartridges come in the form of four individual ink cartridges (black, cyan, magenta and yellow) and a full set costs about £30. An alterative to genuine Epson inks are compatible Epson SX405 inks which cost almost high the price but don’t contain Epson DURABrite ink. DURABrite ink is an ink technology developed by Epson which they claim improves print quality and helps reduce fading of prints over time. There have been many test carried out comparing genuine ink with compatible ink from a number of different sources and the results show that there is very little difference to the eye when it comes to genuine and compatible ink. When considering weather to use genuine branded ink or compatible ink is comes down to how important the prints are. A professional photographer will always use genuine inks but for someone who does photography as a hobby compatibles may be better suited.
