Countdowns make it possible for marketers to instill this sense of urgency with their customers and skyrocket sales. This is accomplished just by placing countdowns on your sales page to give the impression that your offer is ending soon, and customers must act fast in order to take advantage of this great offer. Of course this isn’t anything new – marketers and advertisers have been using this tactic for several years, and for good reason; it works!
Put yourself in the customer’s shoes : you open this sales page, perhaps it is just one of several sales pages you have looked at in the past half-hour. Each and every one of these sales pages contain practically the same product, and you just can’t make a decision! Suddenly, you find a sales page that says you can receive the same offer much cheaper, but only within the next three minutes.
